Dead Man's Bones

Ryan Gosling's new band is actually pretty good. Apparently he and his girlfriend's sister's boyfriend wanted to create a rock opera about ghosts and zombies and haunted mansions but decided that would be too expensive so they decided to just start a band, though neither knew how to play an instrument. Gosling's either really cool, or really weird. Check it out.

inspiration

I've always thought the human body is fascinating and beautiful. I want to do some drawings or paintings like these vintage medical pictures. Who knows, it might even help in my understanding of physiology for med school. Lord knows the endocrine system still boggles my mind.

This last one is De Humani by Vesalius (1514-1564). He's considered the father of anatomy, and his work, a landmark in medical drawing, dispelled many of the misconceptions about human anatomy that had remained since the time of the ancient Greeks.

I also just like the painting of trees on the left.

I need these sunnies.
