Dude

score
it took some searching, but i finally found where exactly this picture is from on theselby. now, I just need a boy to recreate it with. lol.
he's totally copping a feel under that shirt. and notice the jesus and the skull and the heart in the background. you know, just your everyday kitchen appliances. nbd.

So Madeline finally posted her pictures from the Monotonix show, and they are amazing, just like the show was.

Time is what past me by when i wasn't with you.
Sometimes I feel much older than I am today.

Devenir immortel... et puis... mourir.

An amazing quote from a great movie. I'm obsessed with this line, and Patricia.

little facts from imdb:

-One of Jean-Luc Godard's first films

-Because the first edit was too long for distribution, Godard cut little bits
from here and there. This led to the "jump cut" technique this movie introduced.
-The entire cast and crew is uncredited.

wanted

I've been wanting a pair of converse high-tops forev, and these that i saw on Karla's Closet are  kinda perfect:

UO catalogue

Okay, so we get the UrbOut catalogue, and I must say, the first thing I thought was how bad these pics were:

The products were blurry and poorly placed. and the rest of the images looked like they came straight from Karla's Closet, which you should check out if you haven't already. She has an amazing blog, and I think was recently a featured model on AmAp.  Anyway, back to the matter at hand, so turns out the ad campaign was done by Superfantasticpicturetime, who normally has amazing pics and is another blog I absolutely love.  I guess this particular style just wasn't my thing. eh. but I do want those little black booties. hard.

inspiration

I've never gotten into the fur vest trend - too much trend, not enough function.  Plus, they remind me of the cavemen on the Geico commercial.  But I do love this Dries skirt; it looks great with the shoes and wrap belt, maybe in some lighter fabrics for the spring...

Ebay = Spring cleaning

sooo I decided that since I buy so much stuff from Ebay, I might as well try selling some stuff to finance my shopping addiction. Go check it out if you're interested!

to die for

Photographer Melanie Pullen's first monograph comprises over 100 images mimicking vintage crime scene photos, with her "victims" dressed in modern-day haute couture. She was inspired by LAPD's archive of murder cases, and all the shots are based upon actual case files that she managed to dig up.  The images are wonderfully morbid, yet serenely inspiring.  My favourite is the last one where you can see the ghostly reflection of the tripod in the foreground.

ewwww

Okay, love Kate, but this photo absolutely gives me the heeby jeebies every time i see it. Can you spot why? And the creepiest part is Scott (the "Sartorialist") said he has no idea where it came from. ugh, gross.

McQ for Target

Is it just me, or is anyone else severely disappointed with Target's line by Alexander McQueen? I don't even feel like posting pictures of the tackiness. I think there was one jacket and a bathing suit that I actually liked.  Well, if anyone's still interested, it's in stores through March, go check it out for yourself.

Most controversial ad campaigns

I forget where i found these, but they made me laugh.

oh britney...

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything, with mardi gras and midterms I haven't really had the time,
or level of boredom I need to blog. but I figure I'd start back up with this from the b.spears concert.  That poor girl's trashiness never ceases to amaze me.
